Benjamin Bryant grew up in Bellingen and dreamed of being a big city lawyer. He gained his law degree at the University of New England in Armidale, and came home for a gap year. When a family member became ill he stayed to provide care, and joined a local law firm that practiced family law.
More than a decade later Benjamin is very glad he stayed local. He has earned his specialist accreditation in family law, gained in-depth experience and appreciates the opportunity to help people in his own community to deal with challenging family issues.
Benjamin has a clear, straightforward style. Very focused on evidence and legislation, he is both a balanced, practical advisor and a persuasive advocate.
“There’s a great sense of making a difference. The more you practice family law the better you’re able to help someone. Not just in terms of legal skill. You have so much experience of how things have worked out for others. It’s easier to help people see there are good things at the end of the journey.”
Benjamin has worked with local schools for a number of years to provide legal coaching to students working on mock trials or mediations. He lives in Boambee with his partner and his beloved dog Honey. When he gets a chance to escape, he enjoys camping.
